Unlike our minimalist Racing model, this specific EXT VAIA fender is designed for extreme wet conditions. Being a long front fender with a total length of 52.5 cm (23.5 cm front, 29 cm rear), it provides the best protection against heavy mud and flying debris. It stands as the most effective mudguard for inverted forks, ensuring your vision stays clear even when the track turns into a river.
Zero Unsprung Mass & Maximum Tire Clearance
A major advantage of inverted forks is the reduced unsprung mass. Our MX mudguard mounts directly to the crown via the steerer tube, isolating it from suspension movement. This configuration also provides massive tire clearance, ensuring the wheel won’t clog with mud even in the most extreme conditions.
Factory-Level Fit & DH Frame Compatibility
Our EXT MTB mudguard was developed in close cooperation with the EXT Racing team. Thanks to a specialized expansion spider, the fender is securely anchored inside the steerer tube. You can easily adjust the offset by simply rotating the mounting bracket. The rear section is designed to clear even the steepest downtubes on the market and mount it with confidence on your Intense, Commencal, or any other modern DH rig.
No More Loose Brake Lines
We understand that you don’t want the brake hose hanging loosely when navigating narrow trails full of bushes. This anti rattle MTB fender includes an additional hose bracket that attaches directly to the factory stanchion protector. Combined with an upper hose guide located just under the lower crown, it keeps your lines parallel and prevents shifting, allowing the hose to move smoothly through the travel without bending.
Impact-Resistant 3D Construction
It is manufactured out of polypropylene using precision 3D printing. This technology allows us to create unique structural features: the thick, stiff mounting areas are hollowed out to reduce the overall weight to just 220g, while the thinner main shell remains flexible enough to deflect impacts on rocky terrain.
This makes it one of the stiffest MTB front fenders available for heavy-duty racing.
