Tire coverage without adding unsprung mass. This downhill bike mudguard mounts directly to the steerer tube, delivering a rigid shield.

Engineered for mud conditions, this dedicated Intend Flash 38 CM mudguard integrates with your fork to provide a shield. It is built for riders who require a stiff, high clearance MTB fender that functions without adding unsprung mass to their suspension.

Compatibility Note: This model is engineered exclusively for the Intend Flash 38 fork. It utilizes a specialized mounting interface that respects the fork’s unique USD geometry to provide an OEM-level fit.

Protection

This Intend Flash 38 CM fender is designed for wet conditions. Being a long front fender, it provides protection against mud and debris. It stands as an effective mudguard for inverted forks, helping keep spray away from your face and goggles.

Fork Integration & Mounting System 

Our mudguard is developed to offer an OEM-level fit for the Intend Flash 38 fork. To eliminate the lateral flex and twisting common with long fenders on inverted forks, we developed a dual-tighten clamp system. In addition to anchoring directly into the steerer tube using your fork’s original threaded cap, this mudguard features two lower attachment zones secured by 3D-printed bolt-tighten clamps around the fork legs. These clamps screw directly into the main shell, creating a rigid structural brace. Depending on your setup, the factory position of the Intend brake line guide may interfere with the mudguard shell. We include 3M double-sided tape in the box, allowing you to unstick, reposition, and re-secure the factory brake guide for clearance.

3D Construction

It is manufactured out of polypropylene using 3D printing. This technology allows us to create structural features: the thick, stiff mounting areas and integrated clamp interfaces are reinforced to handle trail vibrations, while the thinner main shell remains flexible enough to deflect impacts on rocky terrain.
