Nicolai S16 MGU Rear Mudguard – Two Guards, One System

Because some days you want a clean bike, and other days you just want a dry back.

The S16 MGU represents high-end enduro engineering, and its protection should match that quality. This Combo kit features a secure bolt-tightened clamp mount and two interchangeable guards. While the Racing version is developed in official collaboration with NICOLAI, the Long version is a specialized addition created by VisionVelo based on our own field experience. This gives you the flexibility to swap between the official minimalist profile and an extended shield for extreme conditions in minutes.

Two Sizes in One Kit

The Combo kit includes both Racing and Long variants to ensure you have the right protection for every ride:

Racing Size

Designed for a clean look and maximum agility. It focuses on keeping the suspension components clear of heavy mud without adding unnecessary surface area.

Long Size

Our specialized addition based on field experience. It creates an extensive shield against heavy spray, ensuring that both the frame and the rider stay significantly cleaner during long sessions in extreme, wet conditions.

Reliable Linkage Protection

Specifically designed to shield the linkage and the main pivot assembly from mud and debris. This guard helps keep your moving parts clean, maintaining the mechanical precision and tight tolerances of your Nicolai frame even in harsh conditions.

Rock-Solid 4-Point Clamp System

Since the S16 MGU frame does not have factory mounting holes, we developed a specialized two-part clamping system. It wraps securely around the seat stays and is tightened at four strategic points with M4 stainless steel bolts. This creates a rigid connection that stays perfectly aligned even on the roughest technical descents. Once the clamp is installed, switching between the Racing and Long guards is quick and easy.

Bottom-Out Safe Profile

The guard is shaped with a specific recess to ensure it never interferes with the suspension movement. This allows the rear triangle to travel through its full range without any contact, keeping the mudguard safe from damage even during the hardest bottom-outs.
