Hope did fantastic thing. Instead of selling expensive service tools, they prepared open source project with all necessary tools. It allowed everyone to 3D print the tools at home!
All you need for printing, you can find on the following page: Hope open source tools page.
But if you don’t have 3D printer or don’t have time to play with that, I can print the whole service set for you. Just place the order.
The kit contains the following elements.
- 2x thin pad spacer – Prevents the pads to come in contact with each other accidently when the wheel is removed.
- 2x full pad spacer – Prevents the caliper pistons to come out of the bore accidently when the pads are removed.
- 1x piston service tool – On 4 pistons calipers; allows a single piston to come out at the time to facilitate cleaning and lubrification.
- Piston seal service tool – Before caliper seal replacement, allows the inboard piston(s) to come out so they are easy to remove.
